The Kilwell NZ Shotgun Rigger is designed primarily for use as a centre pole “shotgun” type rigger, mounted in the centre of the rocket launcher on your boat to run a lure way out the back of your spread. This means less drag and your lure will perform better. This stiff action, 1-piece straight pole fitted with a stainless steel bent butt style base, designed to sit in an existing rod holder or rocket launcher and angle back out over the cockpit, more in line with your rod tip. Finished in a non-corrosive black finish, sold as a single rigger and fitted with SS bent base, tip pulley and cleat.

Available with a stainless bent butt to fit into your holder.

Depending on your cockpit and preference for rigging will denote the best length and whether you need straight or bent butt.

The general rule is your shotgun rigger should be higher than your outrigger poles to prevent tangles, when the outriggers are laid down in the fishing position . You may need to use a tag line so the fishing line comes off your rod tip at a reasonable angle.

The rigger comes mounted with hardware ready for rigging.
